Do you know what cold is?
Well, I didn't. Turns out yesterday was warm. It was -38 F this morning when I got up. The house sounded like it was freezing. Popping and cracking all night long. I should have never seen that movie "Day after Tomorrow." And, for a new twist, something called ice fog. Apparently the little droplets of water turn to ice crystals. You can feel them when you breathe. People should not live in this kind of weather, but I'm sure they say that about 110 F. Your skin can freeze in minutes! We've never had ice before, but now everything is covered with ice. The garage is heated and the garage doors are insulated. There is ice all around the seams. It is crazy cold!
I was going on a field trip with Tyler's class, but they called to say it was cancelled and it was our choice whether or not to send them to school.......I was already half way there! So the kids are at school, and I had a babysitter so I went grocery shopping. It is cold!
I'm ready to come home now!

I am seriously amazed that things go on in that kind of cold. I guess I have lived in a box (texas) all my life I honestly never put thought into people living in that kind of cold. Sorry you are the one who had to help me experience it.
I'm amazed we all aren't dying in our houses. Oh, and the electricity went out for just a minute at 5:30. That worried me a bit.
I am laughing at that comment. I would totally feel the same way seeing as how I did not think people lived like that to begin with. Guess you guys would have to snuggle up in bed and keep each other warm. So what do you keep the heat set to? I would think it would be lower than here. I know I dont turn the heat on until it gets below 68 in the house. I would imagine that would be HOT there.
21.5 C, but I upped it to 22 C...That's 71 and 72, but the thermometer always says its 69 F in the house.
