The longest week ever

This has been the longest week ever. I never have anywhere to go and with all the snow on the ground I had to leave the house about 2 times a day. Hopefully, I'm staying in today. The kids got their first report cards last Friday, and teacher "interviews" were this week. In the US the report cards would have been awful, but in Canada I'm not so sure they are. An A is 80-100, so it seems anything but an A isn't that good, yet the report card says that a C is showing acceptable work (that's like a gread of 50-65), B is better than acceptable, and an A is superior. And we had some B and C in things like Art and PE. And before you go saying maybe its effort in those classes, their effort was either satisfactory or excellent, so go figure! I mean seriously who gets a C in art? And this is the child that loves Art!

These pictures are to show the freezing condensation on the inside of the windows. About half-way up the foggy part is ice! Mason picks it off saying "no, no" the whole time. (That's his word for snow.)

This is the snow on the sky lights. Its starting to slide down so you can see a whole at the top where you can see through. Of course Frank didn't get to see them all covered again. He's been in Houston enjoying the weather, the food, and my family!

WOW now that is cold when it is icy INSIDE.

I am laughing at the ARt comment. I always thought it was really pretty silly that they grade for those here. I remember Layne being devastated b/c she got a S in PE. After talking to the teacher she told me they give everyone the same grade. UM HELLO then why grade them. OH well another reason to homeschool ;-) that is my new motto..... however I dont want to do it I want someone else to :-)

I have a plan...when we move back I can home school your kids and you can home school my kids! Now, just what to do about school up here?
