Terry Fox Run

Today the kids participated in the Terry Fox run at school. Terry Fox was a man that ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He died from cancer before he was able to complete his run. Since his death Canadians have participated in the Terry Fox run every year to help raise money for cancer research. The kids each donated a Tooney and participated in the run. Tyler and Grant had over 4 kilometers each. Mommy and Mason only made 1 km. The grass was too thick for pushing the stroller. Then the kids got to go out for lunch at McDonald's. It was a nice cool day out, with lots of sunshine.

I am jealous! That weather looks gorgeous. Tonight E had a soccer game and it was 90 and I am pretty sure 100% humidity! It had rained just before the game. What I would give for some cool weather. Send it our way!

A tooney is a two dollar coin.....maybe its a twoney? The one dollar coin has a loon on it (a bird) and so they call it a looney. I guess they expanded that on to the two dollar bill.

And except for the cold mornings the weather is pretty great. The "feels like" temp is always about 10 degrees higher so its pretty nice. I don't know if we will be able to function back in Houston. Of course I'm sure we won't be able to function here when its below 0!
