St. Louis Zoo

We spent about a week in St. Louis for our niece's wedding. We had time to make a couple of fun stops. These are the pics from the St. Louis Zoo and the park the zoo is in. After the zoo, we got lost on our way home, and ended up driving by the baseball stadium, and the arch.

The boys were in the wedding. Tyler and Grant were ushers and Mason was the ring bearer. Turns out they clean up pretty nice. Of course the others in the wedding party looked great too. And we made it through without any problems. Mason did a great job, and stood through the whole wedding, and a few minor 5 year old moments after it was over, and at the end of the reception.

And before we left we made a trip to the City Museum, and then the arch. The city museum is a huge, awesome, jungle gym. They have activities on the 11th story roof, including a ferris wheel. They have four stories indoors to explore, and another 4 stories outside to see. You can keep you kids busy for days in this place, and totally wear them out. And I believe the whole place is made from recycled/found materials from the city of St. Louis. The pictures do not do it justice. If you are ever in St. Louis you have to stop by.

And here is the link to the videos from the city museum.

We had a good time, but we were ready to be home and get some rest.

Mason's 5th Birthday

Mason has been looking forward to his birthday since the first one he attended back in September. He was counting down the days. First he opened presents from his brothers on his actual birthday. Then he had his party following his graduation. It was a busy day.

PreK Graduation

Mason had his PreK graduation this morning. He was so proud of his "ploma." He had practiced his songs for weeks.

Grant and Cooper's birthdays

Grant had our first kids pool party for his birthday. And they even talked me into having a sleep over. Too bad I was sick and my cough medicine knocked me out so I had to miss all of the late night fun. Frank had to take care of the boys himself! Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Then the following day Cooper came over so they could share another pool party day. This pool sure is coming in handy!

We didn't have too much going on for Easter. We did dye some eggs, and the Easter Bunny hid them. I didn't get too many pictures.

We took all the kids to the Houston Livestock Show. We didn't actually make it to the rodeo this year, but hopefully next! Everyone had fun at the livestock show, and it was Mason's first time.

Go Western Day!

Mason had Rodeo day at his school. He got to dress up in his first every Rodeo Day! He kept asking "Its Radio day?" and I would have to tell him no, its R O D E O. I think he finally figured it out. Can't wait to take him to the rodeo for the first time in Texas. And He doesn't remember the Canadian rodeo.

The 7 Acre Wood

Mason's class went on a field trip to the 7 Acre Wood in Conroe. They had a petting area, mini golf, playground, and other areas we didn't even get to see. The kids had a blast and the weather was good. It was cloudy, but the rain stayed away.

Destination Imagination

Grant tried out and made the Destination Imagination team at school this year. They practiced and practiced before the competition. He was on a team that was to try to move some objects without touching them. The had some requirements they had to follow, but then it was up to their imagination. They did a great job, and the team made fourth place! He was hoping for first, but maybe next year. We spent a whole Saturday at the competition, and the kids had fun. I had a video, but the sound didn't come out very well, and the videographer (me) spent too much time watching and not paying attention to what I was shooting anyway.

Strutter Ball

Tyler's girlfriend Carson is a Strutter, so Tyler attended the Strutter ball this year. They had fun, though I'm sure Carson had more fun dressing up than Tyler did.
