Saturday we went to the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Our first real outing since we arrived. Its a small zoo, but has several good animals. We went because Mason has been fascinated by an elephant on a TV commercial. He was so excited to see the elephant he just giggled and giggled. It took a little over an hour to see the whole thing.
I meant to take short videos with my camera and piece them all together, but I forgot, so no fun videos yet!

What I learned today!

Ok, this is my very first attempt at making and editing video. Its not that entertaining, but its fun. I'm loving this blog thing, and may volunteer to updated the schools website! I won't leave this here very long.

And, by the way, Mason was up several times last night, and I didn't get to take a shower this morning before making the video. The next one will be much, much better.

Here is a link for those that missed it while it was up.

There will be better ones to come in the future!

Terry Fox Run

Today the kids participated in the Terry Fox run at school. Terry Fox was a man that ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He died from cancer before he was able to complete his run. Since his death Canadians have participated in the Terry Fox run every year to help raise money for cancer research. The kids each donated a Tooney and participated in the run. Tyler and Grant had over 4 kilometers each. Mommy and Mason only made 1 km. The grass was too thick for pushing the stroller. Then the kids got to go out for lunch at McDonald's. It was a nice cool day out, with lots of sunshine.

Fever

Well, I guess its about that time. We've been here a month and today we have our first fever. Mason is running just over 100. He isn't too unhappy though, so we will try to wait it out. He's been chewing on his fingers....and his cup, so hopefully its just teething. Not that we could really go to the doctor anyway. It seems you have to get on a waiting list for a doctor around here. I haven't had anyone say they had a great doctor, so we aren't on a waiting list yet. I've told the kids no one can get sick until we come home for December because there won't be any doctor visits before that. Tyler didn't think that would happen, and I guess Mason wasn't listening.

Its also raining out today. We got wet at the bus stop. Mason wasn't at all impressed with his stroller rain cover. He seemed to prefer the rain.

The Neighborhood

Here is the view from our house. Nothing like having neighbors.
